Dear Friends and Customers:
After a long and successful relationship with the Garner and
Cary communities, Pop-N-Son lost its two founders with the
passing of William McKinnon "Pop" Stanton in 2010 and son
William Paul "Bill" Stanton in 2011.
Each is greatly missed.
While the Pop-N-Son company will no longer operate as a business
without its founders, the Stanton family has transitioned their
Christmas tree operation this year to long-time colleague and
friend, Joe Freeman, and his company Mistletoe Meadows Christmas
Trees. Joe Freeman and Bill Stanton often worked together in the
NC mountains and shared a passion for growing a great tree. Joe
has worked in the Christmas tree industry for more than 30 years
and is a previous national grand champion grower.
Mistletoe Meadows will open at Pop-N-Son’s prior locations: the
choose and cut farm on Highway 50 in Garner (2518 Benson Road)
and the retail lot on Cary Parkway (at the Fresh Market Shopping
Center).
Mistletoe Meadows and the Stantons share the same mission,
providing real farm-grown Christmas trees in a manner that
creates life-long family memories. While you will see a new name
this year, the tradition of fresh, quality trees and greenery
will remain the same.
We hope that you will continue to make a real Christmas tree
part of your holiday celebrations.
With warm regards,
The Stanton Family & Mistletoe Meadows
